4 - 7 yrs
Our youngest actors will be led through specific types of play each week. The emotions experienced and demonstrated by the children during play time will be brought to their attention and discussed in an organic, conversational style. Helping them to understand what they are feeling will allow them to better understand their emotions, name them, and express them more successfully so that others can understand. Students will be given opportunities to "perform" for each other and create characters through their play. They will be encouraged to express themselves confidently. Most importantly, our Discover class will have fun playing acting!

8 - 12 yrs
Pre-teen actors will begin a more focused training program. Each class, they will be led through different play exercises where they will be invited to recognize and discuss any emotions that were brought forth during the exercises. Creating an open dialogue between the children and their peers regarding emotions will enable them to more easily access these emotions when called upon to do so in a performance. They will create scenes together and perform scenes and monologues from classic and contemporary theater. Students will learn to trust each other, as well as themselves, as they connect with their emotions, their response to other’s emotions and overcome fears. Students will be introduced to the basics of the business side of acting, as well. Our Experience class will have a blast playing together while learning the ropes of acting.
| Schedule: | Thursday 10:00 - 11:15 |

13 - 17 yrs
Play exercises will remain a part of the teens acting training, but they will be required to take the play to a specific emotional place. Because it is done in a fun atmosphere, teens will feel secure to access even their more serious emotions as they find themselves in a safe place that encourages honesty. Although the emphasis on using play as a tool for the actor remains, our Live class can be considered a serious training ground for up and coming young performers as well as a place for those just looking for a creative outlet. The training is serious, but there will still be plenty of fun. This is where we find our art and creativity.
